In the skies above Europe and the Pacific during World War II, was one "Brute" of an airplane with the appropriate name of "Thunderbolt". Though nearly twice the weight of other single engine fighters, the Thunderbolt stood toe to toe with the best airplanes the enemy had and slugged its way to an enviable combat record.
